Hamfests
are events organized by amateur radio enthusiasts for social gathering and
promotion of amateur radio hobby. Typically semi-annual events are held on
weekends which last from several hours to several days which feature buying and
selling of radio and related equipment.
For HAMs in India, Ham fest is usually a big event hosted once in a year in different parts of the country. This time Ham fest is being hosted in North India for the first time. And Gwalior is having the honor of hosting Ham fest 2013. The event will be hosted in the historic city of Gwalior on 21- 22 September 2013.
