Ham Radio Examination in Vijayawada

We are happy Share with  you that Ham Radio License examination shall be conducted on 24^th of this month at 10-30AM in Potti Sriramulu College of Engineering & Technology and at 2-30PM in the S.R.R. & C.V.R. Government College, Vijayawada. The examination shall be conducted by Wireless Planning & co-ordination wing, Vijayawada. Ministry of Communication, New Delhi, Government of India shall award Ham Radio communication licenses to those candidates who qualify in the examination.  

Dr. Kamisetti Nageswara Rao, Principal, Potti Sriramulu College of Engineering & Technology and Valluru Palli Ravi, Principal, S.R.R. & C.V.R. Government College both the Principles are also appearing for the Ham Radio examination in their institutes  along with other candidates. They have encouraged students and faculty members of their respective colleges to undergo Ham Radio training. As a result total 85 applicants, from both of this colleges, are appearing for this examination.

With the increased number of candidates makes Amaravathi a Hub of ham radio operators in the State and their services could be utilized not only at the State level but also at the entire Nation level at the time of natural disasters by supplementing emergency communication network.

Ham Training in SRR & CVR Government College

Academy of Ham Radio conducted successfully Ham Radio Training on 25/9/2016 in the SRR & CVR Government College, Vijayawada.The training programme was held in the Seminar hall of College in between of 10AM - 4PM. 

The Principal of the College Dr Ravi not only exhorted the staff and students to participate in Ham Radio training but also he himself took part in the daylong training session along with others. People, from outstation places like Kakinada and Markapuram are also participated in the training programme. Wireless Planning authorities shall conduct the Ham Radio Examination after a period of 45 days to all these trainees in the College premises itself.

D.V.S Bhaskara Prasad Hod, physics department , Dr, Kameswari , Dr. G. Thirupataiah and T.V. Rambabu all lecturers  of the college attended the training along with students. T. Nageswara Rao English lecturer of the same college is an active Ham member continuing for the last 20 years in this hobby explained the students and other participants how to operate the Ham Radio set.

After completion of the training session participating certificates were presented to all the Ham Radio trainees by the Principal of the College. All the participants were dispersed after a Group photo session with the College Principal before the statue of College Founder Sri Raja Rangaiah Apparao garu.

Ham Radio Training Demo Dr. K.K.R Happy Valley School

We are glad to share a brief report on Ham Radio Demo, which was successfully conducted on 2-7-2016 in the premises of Dr. K.K.R Happy Valley School, Tadepalli Village, Choppermetla, Aagiripalli Mandal, Krishna Dt, located at 30 km away from Vijayawada City of Krishna District in Andhra Pradesh. We have received Very good response from the Students. We are pleased to inform that the several teaching and nonteaching staff were also there apart from the students those among who appeared for the Ham Radio Demo.

 Power point presentation of Ham Radio was shown to the students. We are so much thankful to the Management and the Principal of Dr. K.K.R Happy Valley School for having provided us an opportunity to conduct World Amateur Radio programme where in an awareness and description on Ham Radio, how it is being used by millions of Radio Hams all over the World.
