We are happy to announce that “HAM RADIO” Training shall commence from 09.00AM of 20th   August, 2017 in the premises of Regional Science Centre - (APCOST), besides Punnami hotel, Bhavanipuram, Vijayawada – 520012

The Training Programme, shall be completed in a single Sunday with a view to make it convenient to the students of neighboring cities of Vijayawada take part in it.

Science students of any stream can easily follow and prepare themselves for the examination with the guidance and Study material provided in the training class.

The Wireless Planning & Co-Ordination wing, Ministry of communication, Department of Tele communication, Government of India, shall conduct the Ham Radio Examination. “Life time” Ham Radio Licenses shall be awarded to the qualified candidates.

Ham Radio Awareness programme in Vignan University

We are happy to share a piece of information with regard to conduct of a seminar on Ham Radio in the seminar Hall of Vignan University, Vadlamudi, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh 522213 on 22 -7 - 2017 in between 09 -00 AM to 10- 45 AM
We were received by Dr. N. Usha Rani, Professor & head Dept of Electronics and communication Engineering. We had a long discussion with her regarding the future Ham Radio training activities in the University.

All the Ham team was accompanied by Mr. Avireni Srinivasulu Dean & Professor (Research & Development) to the newly developed advanced laboratory RF Microwave & Wireless Communications which was recently set up in the university campus. All the team members watched the latest test equipment was explained about the other facilities available in the laboratory.

Later Avireni Srinivasulsu took us to the chamber of Dr. L. Rathaiah, Chairman of Vignan group of institutions. We have been provided an opportunity to directly interact with the Chairman and we have explained him about the growing importance of Ham Radio particularly in the Engineering students.  He observed very keenly Ham Radio circuit brought by Dr Prabhudas VU2DOS, from Hyderabad. He was very much impressed by the circuit and expressed his wish to promote Ham radio activities in the University. Also, he advised Dr Mr. Avireni Srinivasulu  to take steps to  inculcate ham radio activities  among students so that they can improve their  knowledge in constructing circuits.

Mr. Ramesh Babu Arza, VU2RDM, Co-coordinator Ham radio Training center, Vijayawada has has given detailed orientation on Ham Radio, through Power Point Presentation. He has shared his practical experience,   how he communicated an emergency message to the Relief Commissioner, during Orissa Super Cyclone regarding the forthcoming danger of major disaster of 70,000 lives in Paradeep Town ship. Immediately, necessary arrangements were made to send generator to restore the power supply and avoided major loss of lives.  

More than 400 students of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of B.tech & Faculty members have been benefitted by this programme.   Mr. NS. Rao and Darla Venkatesweara Rao also along with us in coordinating the entire session in a hassle free manner.
