Applying for Ham Radio License

I am to inform you that recently Wireless Planning and co-ordination wing, Government of India exempted certain districts from the essential part of police Verfication with regard to issuance of Ham Radio License. Krishna and West Godavari districts are also there in the exempted list.

Hence the candidates from these districts are now can submit their applications for the grant of Ham Radio license without waiting for the police verification. Rest of applicants need to wait for the completion of Police verification and have to apply for the license after getting the clearance from the concerned authorities.

         In this context I have contacted WPC, authorities with regard to applying for Ham Radio license of the candidates of these exempted districts. They suggested us to submit all the license applications with relevant documents together in one bunch so that which enables them to clear all the applications together.

       

        I am planning to call a meeting of all the qualifying candidates of these districts for collecting all the applications together.  Those qualifying candidates of Krishna and West Godavari District applicants are requested to bring all the relevant documents/DD/Application with them so that all the documents of individual applicants can be forwarded together to Wireless Planning & Coordination wing, New Delhi for the grant of Ham Radio License.  The Venue/Date/time shall be intimated to you through the SMS and the same shall be published in this blog.

 The following points are to be noted while applying for Ham License

Demand Draft: Demand draft drawn from SBI only for Rs 2000/- in favors of 

“PAO (HQ), DOT” Payable at Main Branch, NEW DELHI

DD Should be crossed. On the backside of the DD Write down your full name

Enclosures:

1.   Two Pass port size Photographs (Name should be written on back side).

2.  SBI  DD for Rs.2000/  for  life time license. 

3.  Gazetted officer  Attested copy of birth Certificate along with father’s Name.

4.  Gazetted officer Attested copy of Amateur Result sheet.
