Ham Radio Get together conducted in SRR & CVR Government College, Vijayawada

We are Happy to share a piece of information with regard to Ham radio training sessions conducted through Ham Radio training center, Vijayawada was a grand success and it provided training with proper guidelines which facilitated many of the students, professors, lecturers’ and professionals of various fields, qualifying in the Ham Radio Examination conducted recently in and around Vijayawada. A Total of 73 candidates have qualified in Ham Radio Examination and have received Ham Radio licenses from Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing, Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India, New Delhi.

With these new entrants added to the already existing more than 500 licensed Hams becoming a gigantic strength and making entire capital area of Andhra Pradesh virtually a hub of “Radio Hams” whose services are important in providing vital communication network during all kinds of Emergencies and Natural Disasters at state and National level.

 

Amateur Radio Club, in SRR & CVR Government College, Machavaram, Vijayawada was inaugurated during this meet at 3-00PM today by Dr. Velaga Joshi, Principal. In his message, he has emphasized that necessary encouragement and arrangements would be extended to all the interested students and staff to become more Radio Hams in future.
Different experts in the field of  Ham Radio from different parts of Andhra, Telangana have participated:

 1. Mr. Arza Ramesh Babu VU2RDM, Coordinator Ham Radio Training center, Vijayawada, explained in detail  about the usefulness of Ham Radio in Day to day life and how it  is being used during Natural Disasters for the affected people as well as Government machinery.

2. Mr. Nagarajan,VU2KNN one of the senior Hams since 40 years, served in Indian Railways Institute of Signal & Telecommunications (IRISET), South Central Railway, Secunderabad, in his message he has encouraged new Hams with useful Dos and Donts in setting up their Ham Radio Station as per guide lines, rules and regulations of  Ministry of communications Government of India. His experience as a successful Ham for four decades has become great source of inspiration and encouragement to all the participants.    

3. Dr. Bannam Naidu, VU2ZAZ, Professor and HOD, Department of Physiology, Kamineni Medical college, Hyderabad, a senior Ham who has spent lot of his time and energies in developing Software Designed Radio by making lot of experiments in electronics although he is from Medical back ground. This is the latest world class technology in Digital Radio communications.

4. Mr. Chama Srinivas, VU2PBE, Manager, District cooperative Bank, Palakollu, West Godavari District shared from his Ham Experience.
Mr. Naqeswara rao, VU3VQP, a Senior lecturer, Department of English and Mr. Rambabu, VU3XOP, lecturer in Department of Physics, SRR & CVR Government College, Vijayawada have taken lot of pains in organizing this event in hassle free manner and made it a grand success. They have also contributed sacrificially their own and also pooled out resources from their colleagues.   More than 150 participated from Andhra & Telangana States have been very much encouraged and benefited through this one day Ham Meet.
