We are glad to
share with you a brief report on Ham Radio Awareness Programme was conducted in
Regional Science Centre, Tirupati on 1st and 2nd of October,
by Academy of Ham Radio, Vijayawada. Many students of schools & colleges of
Tirupati have participated in the two day programme. We are very much thankful
to the Management and the Regional Science Centre Principal for having provided
us an opportunity to conduct this Programme where in an awareness and
description on Ham Radio, how it is being used by millions of Radio Hams all
over the World.
Mr. Manikanta Director,
Mr Prakash Kvs, who was instrumental in conducting the programme, Mr. Durgaiah
and other staff members of Regional Science Centre have extended their fullest
cooperation and made this programme a grand success. Most of the participants have come forward to become Radio Hams and to
join in Ham Radio activities and they felt that their services could be used in
a great way to State & Central Governments in providing Emergency Relief
Communications during the times of Natural Disasters.
The Management of
Academy of Ham radio is planning to conduct more such Awareness & Training programs
in and around of Tirupati and sensitize more and more students and others to
become Radio Hams.
