QO -100 Sat live demo  is a major attraction

in   Vana Samaradhana held in 20-11-2022

In the month of November on 20-11-22, Ham’s Vanasamaradhana will be organized at the farm house of Chandana Kedarish on the banks of river Krishna. QO-100 satellite live  communication demo is going to be a major attraction on the occasion of this Vana Samaradhana which is going to be held on 20-11-22 in the month of November.                                                                                                                         For the first time in Andhra Pradesh, a live demo  using  QO-100, a ham Radio Geo Stationary Satellite,  is going to be organised. Experts, from Hyderabad, Nellore etc. are coming to Vijayawada to explain in detail how this satellite communication functions and its uses. Mr. Ashhar Farhan   VU2ESE , who attained worldwide fame for developing the Bitx transceiver, will be present on this occasion. Apart from this, Mr. Avula Amarendra VU2AAP, Mr. Sasibhushan VU2XZ President, Lamakaan Amateur Radio society, Hyderabad and Dr Rajasekhar VU2HMY  are also coming to encourage upcoming Radio Hams. These expert Ham’s are responsible for developing downlink, uplink converters and transverters bringing down the cost of Satellite communication system. If their continuous efforts are bare fruit the dream of owning a satellite communication device even by a middle class income group Ham  would be realised.                                                                                                Electrical power is the prime source to run any type communication device, but unfortunately, the power supply is the first casualty to get break down in any natural disasters. In order to operate the HF communication device in conditions with the high noise level,  power up to a hundred watts has to be pumped out for comfortable communication.                                                                                                          Generally, Bus batteries are spared by the RTC authorities as per the orders of the revenue authorities for ham radio operation to be used in emergency situations. But bus batteries normally would be bulky in size and at least two people’s assistance is required to carry them. Usually, it is difficult to walking itself in areas affected by cyclones & floods forgetting about carrying the batteries. On several occasions, we used to walk a few kilometres on muddy roads carrying communication equipment, antenna’s and other related material on our shoulders in flood-affected areas. In such cases it is a herculean job to carry such bulky batteries. Even though, once after carrying the bulk batteries after braving all the odds, it becomes useless once after getting discharged in the absence of any recharging facility. But now with the advent of the QO 100 satellite communication facility which requires only 2 watts of power, such difficulties will be removed. Even small batteries like UPS generally used in normal computers which also can easily be charged with solar energy. To take part in an Emergency communication network, a small vehicle or van can be employed in a stationary position and a dish antenna installed on the top, using the vehicle’s battery, can easily put it into use to communicate to any part of the globe.                                                                                                                                                        In early days, Ham radio activity, which has started with a crude model of Marconi’s spark gap transmitter, today, it has grown up step by step to the level of worldwide global communication using satellites. The results of continuous efforts of some of  ham’s  from both the Telugu speaking states are now bearing fruit. If their efforts are fully successful, which will sure to results in bringing tremendous growth in the ham activity. Even the ham operators from the middle income group can also own up such a system at low cost and actively participate in the Ham communication activity. It is possible to send information to any remote part of the country in seconds using very low power i.e. only 2 to 3 watts of power.                                                                                                                                                                                                The communication that relies on the Ionosphere is constantly changing from time to time due to changes in the environment. It is usual practice to encounter a tough situation in passing the messages at a time when the noise level increases tremendously. No matter how much power is pumped, it becomes impossible to send the signal to the other end, but with the advent of the QO 100 communication system, it has become a marked departure from the earlier difficulties.                                                                                                                                  In the QO communication system, even if one watt power is sent in excess to  4 watts  that is the maximum power limit allowed by any Ham to send,  the satellite alarm will automatically blow a caution. Once a QO 100  Satellite communication system is established it can easily works to communicate up to 120 countries without any change in signal quality.  Cell communication is limited only to cities and there are thousands of villages still left over sans any cell network.                                                                                                                                 QO 100 satellite communication system comes as a boon to our country where 65% population is less than that 35 years of age. If we develop such satellite technology in our country and encourage the youth poulation in the villages, there is a possibility that India emerges as the most powerful country in the world in the field of commination technology and the services of youth can be utilized in the event of any natural disasters. Communication facilities in a country like ours were frequently getting disturbed due to the occurrences of natural disasters, like floods, storms, and earthquakes. If our administration plans properly to utilize & encourage the services of Ham radio operators those who are having QO -100 Satellite communication equipment the disaster management system will be greatly strengthened. The distinguished guests Ashhar Farhan VU2ESE, Amar VU2AAP, and Sasi VU2XZ  all are from Hyderabad and Dr Rajasekhar from Nellore is coming to Vijayawada who have done enough research with regard QO100 satellite communication and successfully came out with a positive outcome. Their arrival to the event is sure to going to be a boon to the upcoming hams who wanted to brush up their skills in the field of electronics & communication                                            For All almost 3 decades we have been continuously conducting Ham Trainings and awareness programmes in the Institutes like KL University, Vignan University, Adikavi Nannaiah University and almost all prominent  Engineering colleges in and around Vijayawada. Several of them are qualified in the exam and obtained Ham Radio Licences now many are showing interest to take part in the Live Demonstration of Q0 100 Satellite programme.                                                                                                                                                                       We invite the Engineering college Principles & ECE Hod’s in and around of Vijayawada to take initiate step to sponsor their students to this scientific event. So that they will have an opportunity to have a direct interaction with the National level expert Ham radio team to know more about  Satellite communication. The event shall be conducted from 8-00AM to 4-00PM. All the delegates shall be provided with breakfast & Lunch at the event sight. Each candidate, will be charged Rs 200/-to get registered themselves as delegates.                                                                         Those Faculty members of Engineering colleges who wanted to send their Engineering students for this event scheduled to be held on 20-11-22 in Vijayawada, may directly contact for more information A. Ramesh Babu, Chief Programme coordinator, Academy of Ham Radio through his mobile number no: 9248346843.Since the get-together of Hams is planned in the name of Vanasamaradhana some of the hams are preferring to participate in the event along with their family members, like in the past. Already 50 Hams/SWL’S have enrolled themselves as a delegate. The accommodation in the farmhouse is small so we are forced to restrain ourselves to limit this programme to 150 delegates.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Therefore, we inform you that once the number of delegates reaches 150, the registration process will close automatically. Therefore, we request all those interested candidates to register in advance by paying the delegate fee to participate in this scientific and entertainment program to avoid last-minute disappointment.

Thanking you all

Your’s sincerely,
