Ham Fest India 2017

The countdown has begun! In another few hours, the most awaited National level two day event “Ham fest India 2017” will commence on 16th of this month. This time it is going to be very big & interesting event, since this being conducted in “Kotkata” a tourist destination & a science Metropolitian city. Huge numbers of delegates are coming to Kolkata across the length & breadth of the country to join in the fest.

         Today, that is 14-12-2017 on,  More than 25 Hams are leaving to Kolkota from Vijayawada by “Duranto Express” of those who registered for this festival. More than 50 Radio Hams from both the Telugu speaking states are leaving for kolkota to take part in the Event. Among them  a city Ham Dr. Maturi Ranga Rao, Professor in Electronic communication department, PSCMR College of Engineering & Technology, Vijayawada has been designated  as one of the key speaker. Dr. Maturi Ranga Rao is going deliver a lecture on “Advancements on Antennas in Wireless Communications” as part of the technical sessions of the National event.  


It is something like a real festival of hams in which many Ham’s  are going to Kolkata not only from India but also from abroad like Bangladesh & other countries. This year turnout was so high the organisers were forced to close all types’ registration process which includes spot registration since the target was all ready reached 10 days before the event.  More than 800 delegates have enrolled their names for the registration as delegates’. When compare to this number is bigger than that of the previous gathering in “Mount Abu”.


Stimulating technical sessions and lectures, Exhibition of electronic goods and Participation of international industries like I-com, Kenwood, Motorola, etc are going to be some of the major attractions of this event. Above all, eye ball meetings of individual hams   with other Hams is going to add more spice to this exhilarating mega event.
